They keep going forever as long as you polish them with a good quality polish (I use cherry blossom or Churchs), use shoe trees to keep their shape true and dont wear them on two consecutive days; letting them dry out on the rest days in between days where they are worn helps maintain their shape and stops the leather cracking.
