It lasts some hours and the sillage isnt very strong but its a good choice for spring and summer. I wear this to my retail job when I want customers to stay away from me works like a charm! This smelled sooo weird when I put it on and I really didn't like it. I bought this from a former schoolmate, who was closing down her beauty parlour. On a side note, bees are very attracted to this fragrance and one spring day I had to make a run to the indoors because I was getting chased by them :), so wear with caution. Nope. Overall I think its just very big on smelling like leather and roses. Two years ago I found Red Jeans on discount so I bought it for old times sake. I loved it back then. Become a member of this online perfume community and you will be able to add your own reviews. Its cheap price was too good to pass up, and I gotta say that the scent was far more expensive-smelling than it actually was. A lot better than the mens version of this fragrance though I dont see myself wearing it maybe I will give it a try in the future. I'm sorry to all the Red Jeans lovers out there. Classic, beautiful fruity floral. i agree with the bad comments upon initial sniff but on the skin it's pretty. This is my everyday wear from now. Good choice if youre looking for a relaxing, not overly sweet and inoffensive fragrance for warm days. I hate this so much, I can't believe Versace made this. This is the winner of the fruity contest. I see that many reviews claim that Red Jeans was a high-school signature and has a 90s vibewell, since the perfume is out of production, maybe it went sour. So being described as harsh, laud, synthetic, arrogant and screeching as well as soft, feminine, sweet, girly, pretty, gentle, rosy, babyand again seen as anything from boring and generic to sexy and even horny and more. I really don't like this scent. But not for me, I dont mind woody florals but nicer with a base nots of vanilla. I recently blind bought this and I want to love it but the opening is too strong for me. It's very light on the skin at the moment so you have to leave it on before judging it I suppose. The bottle itself is very cute and vintage looking. I am pretty disappointed in Versace for the first time! Read about this perfume in other languages: Deutsch, Espaol, Franais, etina, Italiano, , Polski, Portugus, , , Nederlands, Srpski, Romn, , , , . Hmm, would I say this is peachy? I like it more now I'm older. I'm afraid that I'm one of those who do not like this fragrance at all. Even if the other design elements read a bit tacky, the way they are implemented lends visual interest. I keep thinking I'll like a fragrance if I like the notes in it, but I'm going to have to learn that's not always true. :). This holds a special place in my heart. Im delighted by the dry woodsy notes in this combined with the freshness of rose petals. It gives me headaches and the creaminess of the dry down smells good BUT irritating.
Lily + redcurrant syrup drink + blackberry + plastic notebook covers (the scent of stationer's shop, mix of PVC plastic covers and fragrant notebooks) + trace of vanilla. It is really quite lovely and I could become quite fond of it. I actually found a bottle of it - someone obviously agreed with my feelings and had left their bottle outside on their fence with a sign that said 'free'. Not for me. Awful . There is also a distinct rose note. There is a common note in it that I also find in Crystal Noir that I can't get over. This smell is very different. When I smell it the first time I didn't like it but after one hour the fragance was very nice and not strog..and My husband loves the fragance. I had 1 time test Red Jeans edt on my own skin. It smells like floral clean laundry and Im usually not a fresh detergent scent person but because this has that very prominent rose floral scent its pretty. I've had a bottle of this for years and used to really dislike it. Versace Red Jeans is a fragrance that i'll always come back to. Its not sweet, very powdery. its definitely a sweet fruity first spray and the soft powdery note blooms open immediately. Red Jeans was the soundtrack of my teen years. Not bas but not good at all. But I just can't seem to like it. I love red jeans, it's like a long lost love, and its impression is eternal. I wanted to enjoy it, but it is not for me. Smells very clean , fresh, mix of light apricot and roses .I like this scent so much I found a dollar tree dupe of it called Red Wear , just for nostalgia .. Love it, I think Red Jeans is not everybody's cup of tea. The scent is so strong and fduity/synthetic, it kind of gives me a headache. it's like first love.. something that i won't forget.. it is sweet and strong and cheap but good enough for the price. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw how old this was this is great for the asking price. Don't like this at all, tried to wear it a few times and had to scrub it off every time. At that price, I would probably buy it again at some point. The bottle is brand new and I tried it twice. I wasn't sure if it had gone off, but after reading everyone else's reviews, I think it's just a bad perfume. I think I'd prefer it if there wasn't this overwhelming scent of honey and sour fruit. Wow, so 90's, but not in a good way. I dont know what apricots the other users smell , mine smells like cheap spray deodorant. You cant go wrong with this cheapie. Epicene Gamma IFF: The Common Part of Spicy Men's Colognes of the 1980s? It's clean and aquatic while the dry-down is a light floral. Perfect for t-shirt and jeans or for tomboyish looks, which happened to be my style during my teenage. This was my fourth and final perfume purchase from my adolescent and teenage years. Who the flying fuck at versace gave the green light on this? It's a nice fragrance; a safe, inoffensive fruity floral, but sadly for me the strength and staying power just isn't there. This was a perfume I used to wear in middle school. Just got this yesterday, this is youthful yet suitable for any age. Red Jeans is a pleasant enough fruity-floral. It just worked on me. this should be called violet jeans because violets are where the sweetness comes fromthis is mainly a rose and violet scent outside of the initial spray which lasts a good 20 minutesi never get to the base notes of sandalwood, musk, and vanilla it seems to stay at the mid notes for hours until fadei really like this a lot but not too pleased with the first 20 minutes but the dry down is worth it. This is a fruity-floral, described as sweet and casual, ment for the young and young-at-heart. This is my favourite perfume. I used to have it when I was in high school. i'm almost out. Reminds me of baby powder mixed with grapefruit juice. I also love the packing.
I seem to be getting lucky finding free perfumes lately in London! ;) Freesia, LOTV, water lily, and a lot of musk. Lasts very long. One man described it as a calm floral aroma. I still have that (empty) bottle and its tin reads "GIANNI VERSACE - RED JEANS". I am delighted I did. It still smells the same but with a synthetic note I can't pin down- I still bought it just for nostalgia's sake. Fragrantica Trends is a relative value that shows the interest of Fragrantica members in this fragrance over time. + I used up this perfume in about three months - a record for me. I think it smells like a new car, with all those leather seats and stuff. I tried this on today and did not really like itit's ok, but nothing special and I wanted to wear something with a little more personalityso I thought I'll change it when I get to the house, I'll scrub it offran some errandsa couple of hours later I get home, open the cabinet to get a glass for some water and stop.what is that smell? I tried really hard. However, after wearing it a few times around the person who bought it for me, I started to really enjoy the scent. It's loud and sexy, and i love that this lasts so long on me (most perfumes last just about 2 hours and i can still smell this the day after), fragrant and not boring. I want to start off by saying this is a lovely perfume and I recently re-purchased it. In my opinion this is not a youthful fragrance as so many have indicated. I smell roses, peaches and something smokey. I cannot put up with this perfume. Now I'm loving it! It is nice and inoffensive but nothing really happens. Every now and then I wear something really outrageous for my gender, age, image, profession, etc. This is a strong fragrance but not sickening. Very loud, synthetic, and chemical. Yes, this is making a comeback due to its resemblance to Guerlain rosa pop. Feeling the freshness and vigor of the notes and it spreads an awesome mood as i pass by. Smells very strong and offputting at first, the innicial scent is hard to describe, as it's almost like medicinal alchohol. @ paperghost , you sound very snobby , if my s daughter had bought me this , i would not belittle her immaturity in fragrances on here only to then bolster my own self procclaimed perfume expertise. I got it for $18 at TJ Maxx and think it's good for the price, if I paid a lot for this I'd be mad but for under $20 I am satisfied. I like it. I get freesia quite clearly, and definitely the fruity scent of the peach-apricot accord. When I close my eyes, it brings me back to my parents house. It's beautiful. The composition is very jammy, sweet, girly, powdery and joyful in a classic and vintage way. It reminds me of a road trip with friends. So whenever I sniff it, I remember my mom. I really like this red jeans, but there is something in it that just does not sit well on my skin. And if you value your money and your sense of smell avoid this!!! All I smelled throughout the hours I wore it was peach, peach, and rotten peach. Does the Versus bottle smell like the Versace bottle probably. I blind bought this one based on a YouTuber review and I dont regret. It was one of my worst. it brings back a lot of unforgettable memories including my 18th birthday and lots of debut parties i attended. Perhaps I'm smelling the violet? I saved a little decant of this for a trip down memory lane, but on my skin it's just too screechy to do more than just sniff (not wear). Understanding perfume settles differently on each individual, I encourage you to give it a chance on yourself. It's nice and casual to wear! Yuck. Not a massive deal considering it's also a great value fragrance, but I'd love to feel like I don't have to reapply several times a day! My sister however loves it. I am surprised how much I like it since I usually prefer less "sticky" sweetness. Love it;girly smell;long lasting;but I only buy it now on internet;it's not avaible in stores. It is a casual scent that can be worn anytime of day or year. It was the most hideous bottle I had ever seen. I quite like this now! I would say it's good for mid twenties and up. The blue jeans one for men is nice though. I am happy wearing this perfume. In other words, this perfume may be old lady-like :P, The first time I was wearing it,it was during the day ofcourse and as I walked ,some girls turned around and started questioning "whitch flower is smell so beautifuly" It was funny to me cause I wasnt aware of how strong it was. Red Jeans Versus by Versace EDT Spra (16.91 USD), Buy it online BIG SALE on or Many items for sale on, Perfume rating3.51out of5 with2,389 votes.
It's an under-$20 fragrance so for the price it's nice enough but I wouldn't re-buy it when I finish my current bottle.
Smells like bug spray. After 6 months of testing I can finally say that this perfume can be alittle supported in really hot weathers otherwise it smells like molten plastic. I don't even wan't to think of the smell. This perfume was given to me as a gift. I mainly detect a musky fresh rose in the opening notes. But this. this is almost rotting with synthetic dribbling peaches. Came across with a tester at the mall and spritzed a bit of it. On my skin I get this fizzy character which is why I call it soapy ( when a soap foams up) This has been my fragrance to spray on my clothes and skin before I go workout and its crowd pleasing. I had this on the 90's and my mother always complained that I smelled like cigarretes.. so I had to give it away, and that wasnt hard, as this was not my kind f scent (very fruity, even for the 90's). I was young and was really excited because of the canister it came with more than the actual perfume. For some really odd reason - the violet stands out the most to me. i also remember my first college crush. Truly I am just. disturbed by its designer label. Does deserve a place in my collection though and for the price I am not upset I purchased it. I had forgotten about this fragrance until a few days ago when I found it at a clearance sale. At the moment you can get the perfume really cheap. Or maybe there really are people out there who smell good in this. It's not too sweet either which is great. It smelled really familar to me and immediately brought up memories of when I was a little girl and lived in Europe. This baby projects with juvenile arrogant confidence and smells great on fabric days after application. I liked this smell on others and bought it for myself. I do like the sweetness about it though just wish it was softer and not such a masculine smell. I had this perfume in the 90s it was the first perfume that my grandmother ever bought me it reminds me of her so much. I get a decidedly harsh aqua net note the entire timeaqua net and peach kool aid mixed with flowers. This perfume smells like on of those disinfectant wipes we use in hospital to clean medical equipments. She gets compliments from EVERYONE! Opens with a very sharp and crisp peach and apricot (that I can completely understand being overpowering and headache inducing on some) then mellows out some as the freesia, violet and lily of the valley kick in. At first I didn't know what to think. Great choice for teenage girls. I prefer peculiar and personal aromas which people associate with me. (I dislike this one). It reminds me getting dressed cute and leaving the house during sunset and smelling flowers in the summer air by walking away. A pleasant powdery fruity floral. I used to like it,and that is when i was very young,in the 90's.Haven't tried it recently and i think after seeing it here i will.Hope i will like it now also. When I saw the packaging and flacon, my first thoughts were that Versace should stick to doing whatever else it is they do. Yes, it is a real 90s scent bomb, but that's what I like because the 90s were a great decade for me. It's ok, not a must have! I understand that this one is a classictht many of the you lived with it.it was a part of your nostalgiabut come on.im sorry but i despise the scenttoo strong too cloying.something's got to be wrong with this composition..it may be appelaing for those who grew up with this..but for the younger genits another pass from me.psits weird but i like the blue jean though. Red Jeans Perfume is an american classic. Should I somehow summarize the spirit of this fragrance, to me it would be simply JOLLY and a little audacious (in a very healthy way). The Peach+Apricot+Violet combo is a death warrant for me. It's OK but i won't buy it again.
Right out of the bottle its just floral, no white florals though. :). This to me is a floral slightly fruity, soapy laundry detergent scent. Either way I like it. It's strong, but coming from the 90's that was the "in" thing. All I can say is "yuck"! Got this as a blind buy ($19 at Ross) thanks to YouTube reviewer (Rhonda!) It's a like for me though I would not repurchase. The following day, i bought it and the next morning, paired it with my red dress and bag. Fragrantica Inc, United States. My love for this perfume started in the early 2000s as a child. Eventually gave it to a friend who likes sweet fragrances. Over the Christmas season, I saw a guy about to purchase this and I was almost tempted to persuade him otherwise ( I didnt, I chose to mind my business).
Certainly put me off Versace, even if this is one of their cheaper fragrances. The original formula is a playful, joyous fruity floral that has nothing to offend in this warm weather friendly beauty. I have no idea why I bought this.
I would use it as a keepsake holder of almost anything. I think it's just right! I dont think I would use this fragrance for anything other than just a casual throw on fragrance to smell CLEAN. Powdery but its fresh and not overwhelming. This will definitely be my signature.
It's also musky and I get now how people say it smells like plastic, but I still like it. I love it, espetially if im emotionally down. I made pencil drawings in my room, I sprayed this on most of my friends and the furniture around me was made out of oakwood. I like it, but in tiny doses. It seemed so sweet and fresh compared to most other fragrances of that era. It's a rainy day here and I was really feeling down in the dumps. . A very playful and brisk openning, almost childish with very peachy notes according to me. It's a good bedtime scent. I smelled this perfume and oddly enough I really like it which surprises me. But now I've had it on for a few hours and that strong kind of artificial and plastic smell is gone. I should have just trusted all the bad reviews. I've honestly smelled nothing quite like it. It's the only perfume I would keep in my locker at school. There is such an optimistic vibe in this very fruity liquid that I am struggling to recall equally "happy", cheerful fragrance(perhaps Chopard's Happy Spirit Magical Nights comes close enough). Fact. Versace red jeans I'm not sure on this one,I like it as maybe only a casual stay at home perfume. Great for work, running errands, lunch with friends Ive worn this to visit sick friends and received compliments instead of complaints. The worst offering from Versace. I used it quite a lot a few years ago, trying to convince myself that I liked it because the packaging and bottle are absolutely gorgeous. The overall impression is bad. I thought for sure this was a cheapie perfume or knockoff and was shocked to see "Versace" on the bottle. All my friends said it smells like leather and I notice it too. It can be a very nice everyday scent. I love it. If you like peach, violet and ylang ylang combination then it's for you. Love perfumes with vanilla in them. This reminds me of the 00's I always wanted this as a 10 Yr old kid all my friends had it and the tap cold and hot scents its nostalgic but I hate the dry down so won't be purchasing it but it took me back to being 10 again when I smelt this today.
Admittedly it's not the most sophisticated but it has personality and always gets a compliment! Definatelly worth trying! Once back home, I tried this: I was disappointed by the artificial sweetness of this perfume, but by chance, and also because I hate wasting money, I tried "mixing" this with "Pleasures exotic" from Este Lauder, which is too bitter for my taste. The only thing with Versace perfumes I noticed is that they can go off if you keep them for very long. Nothing else. I'm glad other people like this one. It's always the type of scent that leaves the trail, fills the bus, walks with you like a cloud but not in a nauseating way. I have learned to smell perfumes myself and not to depend on these reviews for purchasing. You gotta give it time to dry down. Its borderline a pesticide. This was given to me as a Christmas gift a few years ago. Right now, with my changing tastes and many finished bottles of red jeans since my mom likes this one so much and tends to buy it everytime she finds a good deal, my thoughts changed, a lot. To each, their nose, though. I think this is a good layering perfume- wearing it with other fruity floral scents really steps it up a little. I prefer sweet perfumes and for me this one its not, the scent is overpowdering in some way, but its not bad. I like the Blue Jeans for men and I buy it often for the male relatives. It goes on beautifully and I get all that beautiful currant, but then "bam" there comes a wonky scent that I just can't lay a finger on. IT always takes me awhile to get to know a perfume and we are off to a good start. The formula never changed. This synthetic, plastic quality thankfully died away, and I was left with sweet peaches that were on the verge of being spoiled, giving it a boozy quality like Peach Schnapps. I don't know how the violet note isn't listed as the first main note by a wide margin--this thing is a violet BOMB on me and I don't like it. I personally am a spice and sandalwood lover, and for such a feminine smell I am surprised at how much I love this! I bought it expecting it to be a good formulation because my partner uses the blue one and I really like it on him. Ugh, guess Versace and me are not meant to be. Had this for some years now, it was a blind buy unfortunately. For such an affordable price it is very long lasting and lovely. For me it's one of the worst frag i've ever tried, you can easily have headache, 100% sugar in sugar, hit in your nose, no excuses. I received this perfume as a present when I was a young teenager! Sweet and soft, not special or the best they have but I think it's a daily wearable perfume. It's very suitable for my skin's chemistry, I love it. I bought it at a discount price so no regrets. Memories of my denim days flashed back as it stays on my skin thru the night. However, for me nothing catchy and special. -1/10, This is quite possibly one of the worse fragrances that Ive ever smelled. I think the addition of freesia and waterlily give the floral notes a beautiful fresh edge. Red Jeans has a bit of sweet and sour; it's fresh, fruity and floral. It is such a generic fruity smell and although I almost finished the whole bottle, the only complement I got was from a single, very persistent bee at the train station for days on end who was keen on the smell (as I wore it to work just to finish the bottle somewhere I don't care much about). It is also very cozy and feminine. *Shudders*. It smells very rosy and kind of smoked. I like peach in perfumes but Red Jeans is too synthetic. The packaging is cute, it seems like a classic, it came out the year I was born so I feel like I should own it for strange sentimental purposes. I remember smelling this when it first came out and liking it, but when I got a sample recently that violet exploded in my face and smothered out everything else in this fragrance. I don't dislike it, but I don't love it, yet it keeps calling me back like a forgotten friend. Safe blind but for any age, any preference. I loved the bottle design but the scent was pretty forgettable. I can't put my finger on it, but this one smells and feels dated on me. For me the start is floral fresh, light white spring florals. This one smells like the 90's to me.. It reminded me of the cheap perfumes we wore as kids. AAAmazing!
Too strong for me, I was expecting a softer scent according to the peach, apricot, sandalwood notes. It doesn't smell dated like its male counterpart, but you can definitely know it is a 90s scent due to its heavy quality. So use it up!! It is sweet but buffered by a powdery, woody breeze. This is another go-to for me if I can't decide on what to wear. It's sweet, musky, flowery(jasmine&freesia), synthetic/plastic smelling, but the overall combination is very nice and you only need one or two sprays. Someone wrote that its like fruity shampoo and I agree, but there are other layers in this, too. Somehow it manages to have balls to the walls crazy intense level sillage and longevity. I loved being able to smell it in between classes. So I actually blind bought this one, it is very popular with women around my age (Im 23) and I have actually had quite a few people recommend it to me.
It's a little powdery, but not in a smothering way. It's very playful. Its youthful, flirty and casual. Red Jeans was pretty much overwhelming peach cough syrup at first. Red Jeans was created in 1994. Too floral and sharp for my taste. I used to love it, but I remember the scent quite different from what it smells like now. A family member came back from Switzerland and this was a gift from her along with Blue Jeans for my younger boy cousin. I find this quite heavy. The dry down in my skin of Giver spa is amazing. Good for all ages. A friend told me her son brought her back a bottle of Baby Rose Jeans in the 1990s from Italy, so I wanted to try that. It is too innocent. They can have it. Very easy reach but as I'm more into niche, it's a bit unexciting but like I said, not a bad scent, quite likable. Its a great everyday fragrance. It lasts long too. A friend was wearing it, & I stalked her til I found out what it was..lol. One of her customers had ordered this, but she had never showed up again. Even though some might see it as tacky, I kind of like the packaging, to me it is very 90's and very Versace. I've always gotten compliments on the way I smell but since I started wearing this people have gone crazy with comments about it; "God, you smell so good," "Wow! Too synthetic and made my nose tickle. I love both peachy sweet and sandal notes. But about an hour later those violets came out to play- it reminded me of these candied violet pastilles my grandma would have. About 10 years ago, I couldn't stand this perfume. I've heard so much about this - synthetic, tacky, cheap et cetera. The same applies to Bruno Banani's scents. Maybe it's partly because of sentimental reasons. Its overwhelming and way too saccharine, I can't smell a thing over that peach, its harsh and cloying. The mix of Black Currant and Freesia gives me a headache (mostly the Freesia). What drew me to test this on myself? I can definetly smell rose as a dominant main note with violets on the side. This is way, way WAY too sweet for me. On me it is very fruity and full of peaches, but the overall impression is far from peachy shampoo. Definitely a classic and not expensive. Wouldn't mind using it every day. It suits the spring time very well. Red Jeans is simple and feminine. It doesn't develop much as it settles, it keeps steady throughout. I dont like it, I dont dislike it, its just super meh, wouldnt buy it again. I disagree that it is a vintage scent. And Im so happy this bottle says Versace and not Versus. It dries down to green notes and Lily of the valley reminding me of a very soft Eternity. I picked it up to try it out, and gave it away as well. Still, I can see where a younger woman, who has grown up with lighter, even unisex scents, would find this a stinker. It's sweet, but it's got like this bitter smell which I like even though that doesn't sound good lol. I bought it during my first trip to Italy when I was 10 years old. In fact I hated the sweetness so much that it seemed to last longer than I wanted it to, but the reality is it lasts about 4-5 hours, and the dry down is bland too. In Italy this has been re issued last year and can be found on line at a very good price.OK it's not a masterpiece but it smells so good and that's what counts. It's jammy sweet with some freshness and it lasts many hours on the skin. This is perfect for spring and summmer use.Very enjoyable. i prefer the blue jeans although it is for men it is very fresh and vivid! Think there might be too much sandalwood in this. There are times when this gives me trouble breathing. I have a good first impression of it so far and its pretty nice but I've only been wearing it for about two hoursso let's see if the lasting power is just as impressive. I mostly get violet and powder on the dry down(10 minutes after spraying) I prefer the first 10 minutes of this fragrance as its very fruity. But it was a nice scent very safe, blended well nothing overpowering. I've had this bottle for about 3 years and the more I wear it the more I hate it. etc. I don't really wear it these days but it will always feel like an easy reach for me. And I ain't mad!! Definitely wont purchase this again. Anyone know if this has been reformulated through the years? This peach is somewhere in between the usual big overripe peaches that you find in many 90s perfumes and the clean peach shampoo note that is often used today. Top notes are Peach, Apricot, Freesia and Black Currant; middle notes are Rose, Violet, Lily-of-the-Valley, Water Lily and Ylang-Ylang; base notes are Musk, Vanilla and Sandalwood. It's so unique.. Perfect for a 14-17 year old girl. It's a very heavy scent on me, and it doesn't fade all that easily either. I like that it is a change from all of the gourmands out there and smells different. There are white florals too. Guys liked it very much, I remember. While I smell the fruit, it is equally, if not moreso, met with a harsh floral that overpowers. There is something in this that smells like jello vodka shots being made in metal ice cube trays. I found it for 10 pounds and it is indeed a bargain beauty. I must say that lasting power is great, so people who love this should be pretty happy. | Deutsch | Espaol | Franais | etina | Italiano | | Polski | Portugus | | | Nederlands | Srpski | Romn | | | | |, Copyrights 2006-2022 Fragrantica.com perfumes magazine - All Rights Reserved - do not copy anything without prior written permission.
