The food was amazing, Matre'D George (true gentleman) and his staff was extremely professional and the place is gorgeous! We had our wedding on Monday, October 16th, 2017. I was embarrassed and appalled that for the price we paid for a SATURDAY NIGHT WEDDING, the staff couldn't spare a few drinks and appetizers for my bridal party. My maid of honor is now also planning to get married at this venue as well as another couple who had attended our wedding! She was so pleasant and on top of everything!!!
The Manor made our dream wedding into a reality!!! Ill never know though, because not only did she NOT greet us she followed Roman Bienkiewicz to the side and participated in a whispered conversation. All our guests cannot stop talking about how amazing the garden and food and everything. The staff were all nice, helpful and very accommodating for us. The moment we walked in the building, we were treated with such respect and care. ing process was great but when the major stress set in right before the wedding they were there with me every step of the way. All staff at the manor were incredible and went above and beyond!
Our guests could not stop raving about the food, from cocktail hour to the late night French fry bar! dinner prior to the wedding, as a taste tester. The cake was beautiful and yummy (and matched the picture and swatch we provided).
One last thing I cannot go without mentioning is the food! He came over to our table and yell in a loud tone , very embarrassing tone of voice, after we had just spent over $500, at that racist place. e needed. We had the most magical day of our lives and it is all thanks to the staff at The Manor. I would make the same decision again if I had the chance. The day-of wedding staff were extremely professional, organized, and helpful. We were planning for an outdoor weddingrehearsed it the day before and everything but because of the chance of rain and the humidity outside, we decided to move it in. They set up our reception hall beautifully. , I was really sold on the location. If I had known this before, I would not have booked the wedding there. The key to this success is in the fact that the Manor is a restaurant year round, meaning you have on site access to excellent food and not just a nice place to have a party where the food is trucked in from somewhere else.
He responded to my emails within a couple of days at first and then within the last month his responses came much quicker. So I feel that they kind of tricked me or was not completely honest with me during the booking of this venue. l to our table. From planning to the day of, everything was taken care of. However, like I said, considering this was the ONLY con, I think they did pretty damn good. It's just a seamless wonderful best day ever! Needless to say, we did not get to take all the pictures we wanted and our food was cold. ng - including the beautiful ceremony space and bridal "walk".
We thought it was a given that The Manor would have another Matre D who would be there from the moment we got there, which was around 3:00 to put our stuff down and for photos. Glad we chose the Manor for our wedding venue. We highly recommend the Manor for any type of event, especially a wedding!
We only had two options for linen colours.
What a wonderful & easy experience for our wedding! The Manor is absolutely gorgeous! Overall, our family and guests were happy and so were we! We had issues throughout our wedding.
The entire experience exceeded our expectations. The rest of the night we truly had no idea there were other weddings/parties going on as we could not hear anything except the events in our room. Rolf said "I remembering informing you would have to assign a family member to do this". I have never been more appalled by disrespect than I was when first walking in to the Manor in West Orange.
Since we wanted our ceremony on site, we were told we would have to have 125 people.
They were amazing since day one. Day of, our attendants were good. The other wedding party did not budge, continued to take photos while my party and family members stood there stunned. The food was delicious and our cocktail hour and signature drinks were wonderful.
There is a bar open upstairs if people wanted to continue partying after the wedding and the hotel was less than 100 yards a way (less than a minute walk) when people were ready to call it a night. the pandemic, we asked The Manor to administer temperature checks. During the cocktail hour we explored the terraces/waterfalls/fountains as the sun went down and again, it's a sight to see. Everybody RAVED about the food - cocktail hour oysters and all the stations we wanted just right, including substituting potstickers and shumai (Chinese bride!) Our 3pm ceremony in the gardens looked amazing.
The most recent being "The Manor is by far the most beautiful wedding venue I've ever seen" from one of my relatives.
All the staff was helpful, and completely devoted to us all night.
Our wedding was perfect. rked with throughout our planning process were very helpful and accommodating. I could not imagine having our wedding We looked at a bunch of wedding venues in northern NJ and decided on The Manor pretty much as soon as we walked in.
The building and grounds were absolutely gorgeous and impeccably maintained.
Al Had a wedding and rehearsal dinner there, which both went great, but had a shower there recently, which went horribly and event manager as well as general manager of facility have been unresponsive to concerns that were raised. I want to start by saying that it rained on our wedding day, and therefore could not have our ceremony outside and had limited photo opportunities outside. I'm not sure if Roman had assumed we couldn't afford it, or if he had a long day and was tired, but we were so rushed through the whole process it was so easy to say "absolutely not" to this venue almost immediately. I will MOST DEFINITELY not be happening here.
The Manor is spectacular inside and out, the gardens and grounds are breathtaking, the food is deliciou My husband & I were married at The Manor 5/1/21. It was the 9th and last place we visited looking for venues for our wedding and we are glad we chose The Manor. Our wedding at The Manor was absolutely perfect.
However, by the time our guests began arriving, the setup/takedown of rooms had calmed down and it was a wonderful evening. Every detail was accounted for and the value of this venue is truly unmatched. Everything went so well. The grounds are decedent, the interior equally as beautiful, the staff was friendly, proactive, and intuitive. Our Maitre D' was very helpful throughout the night and worked from the sidelines - he made sure our meals were the way we wanted and coordinated the schedule with the DJ.
Thank you to all the staff at the Manor. He explained that he would checkin with the maitre d, Naemmy, and call us back. The Manor made our cake it was so beautiful, exactly what we wanted and the food was delicious.
I feel, especially in today's economy, that a wedding venue should treat every single prospective customer with utmost respect and courtesy, regardless of how they look or what kind of car they arrive in.
We worked with Jennifer from the beginning and she was amazing. Whatever we wanted the answer was yes. Little things, just keeping things honest. The service the day of by the staff was IMPECCABLE. From the amazing food, high-quality service of staff, and overall ambiance, The Ma We had gone to The Manor to get a tour of the venue and potentially book our wedding for 2021.
ntly raving not only about how beautiful the place is but how incredible and delicious the food is as well! THE FOOD. I went to visit this venue and thought it looked historic. The Manor and staff made it so easy. I worked with Preston Postelwaite who is the banquet manager and threw in lots of extras for us. They frequently switched which dining manager we saw which resulted in getting different answers to some questions. Another big factor was that we wanted a space for the ceremony at the venue and wanted it to be a separate space from our reception. On the whole, it all worked out. And I don't mind because it went smoothly anyway.
Our meal was $300 so although the gift certificate helps, be prepared to pay out ya a**. Everything was presented so nicely and in a timely fashion (they have catering down to a science!). Miraculously, the sky cleared, the ground dried and we had a beautiful ceremony outside. The banquet managers were always so responsive and helpful with anything you need!
I advise any and all couples in this area to at least consider having your big day here -- you will not be disappointed! The food was plentiful and delicious (our guests gave rave reviews) and I was pleasantly surprised during the cocktail hour that the room did not just look like a room with lots of food in it - it was beautiful.
Service was fantastic - all the feedback we've received is that the staff was so nice and efficient (there was never a line at the bar).
irlwind of activity, my wife is a professional researcher, so 'organized' doesn't even truly describe it. No request was too silly. I wish I had been able to eat more of it, but as everyone says, you don't get to enjoy it as much as everyone else. Fi My father has been a fan of the manor since he was a teenager and both his sisters were married there.
The Manor was the absolute perfect wedding venue! The staff, including Rolf the Catering Sales Manager, were so friendly and helpful - they really helped We just got married here last weekend and it was a dream come true!
. I am delighted to give The Manor in West Orange NJ the highest rating possible.
Upon arrival there was no one there to greet us.
One that was never even used, was missing. He was very responsive and he made sure we had everything we could possibly need all night long. We had a bridal attendant who was so sweet and tried to help us but there was only so much she could do. They truly know what they are doing and are always consummate professionals. If I had known this, I would have never booked our wedding at the manor.
Why? LOL! Naomi was our Maitred and she did an marvelous job of coordinating the evening.
We purchased thermometers for this occasion so we could make our guests feel a little more comfortable attending our event. As soon as the ceremony started the Matre D was with me the whole time, including the bridal attendant. I was concerned it would be extremely expensive, but I was very happy to find out that it wasn't when my fiance and I wen to visit.
Overall we were very happy we chose The Manor.
They always responded quickly.
We made sure that this Covid safety precaution was on our wedding website as well as in an email sent out a few days before our wedding day. ur treatment by Roman, one of the managers there. The poor attitude certainly put a damper on a beautiful establishment and confirmed our decision to never deal with such a rude and disrespectful group of people. If you are looking for a venue for a social function or just to have dinner in their amazing restaurant I highly recommend it! I highly recommend taking photos by the gazebo area (where they usually hold wedding ceremonies).
This worked out perfectly fine for me because my vendors were all recommended by The Manor and were used to working there, but I could see this being a problem if you bring in vendors who are not used to the venue.
