Would like to know if this is cdi related. New plugs, old ones looked ok. Made no difference. Sometimes the spark breaks down after the engine is hotor in your case maybe its happeningright away.

it was the pin between the throttle lever and the block. So on this ATV the batteries keep dying to the point it won't start I'm on my 2nd battery this week it took me until this one to figure out that my ATV isn't charging it's on 12.75 volts when sitting in the ATV and it doesn't go up when being revved what are the chances it could be the rectifier/regulator vs the stator or CDI. Try to separate the wires and see if that clears things up. Maybe test some devices like thepick up coil for starters. Maybe @Ajmboyor @Admincanhelp us digit up? I umpluged black wire to handlebars eliminating all switches up there. does it get better or worse as the motor gets warmer? While is backfiring etc separate the contacts on the throttle control and see if it clears. To test the stator you have to test the resistance between the wires.
