(if you have been out west to Yellowstone you know how most parks in SD WY & MT are just gravel parking lots or dirt) Even the sites without service are nice, water & bathrooms are close no matter where you are in the park. Huge spaces (we had a corner lot). They need designated cement. Our 36' motorhome and tow car just barely fit in the back-in site (some days we parked our car in the overflow parking lot). He is the latest to be introduced to the group of otters that live at Center. Prices have gone up but value has gone down. I can't speak for any of the other regular back-in sites, but sites #1, 2, 3, and 4 are righg next to the Grizzly dump stations! Well here comes 2020 I made reservation for September of 2020. WOW, what a luxurious place, great location great people, very helpful staff. He toppled a tent and even climbed on an occupied vehicle at the campground. The site was gravel and level, we had a concrete patio and the utilities were well placed. Our site backed up to an intersection and there was no issue at all with noise. I spoke to the managers about the posted closing times and the fact that the cleaner was starting much earlier and they clearly could not have cared less about it. The park itself was very nice - hundreds of sites yet all were nicely grassed and had a nice clean air. Next time are in West Yellowstone we will stay here again. Many other places we have stayed, this area was smallish and usually when you finished with your shower the floor was wet. We stayed 4 nights and weren't disappointed. Not all sites have water connections that are insulated. This park is extremely close to the west entrance of the Yellowstone national park, about 5 minutes to the gate. In our RV travels, our family has decided that we appreciate being in parks with cell signals, access to stores and restaurants, and other such conveniences. The staff were more helpful than I would ever expect - smiling and helping with tourism questions and also helping us find a site for an additional night. Also rated are physical characteristics of restrooms, including interior construction, adequate supplies/odor free, adequate number of facilities, exterior appearance and location in relation to park spaces, and interior appearance. The people who work here are so friendly and maintenance is continually cleaning! The site itself lends for nice walks along the interior streets and is within walking distance of the Town. We spent most of the time in the Yellowstone Park but enjoyed each moment at the RV park. The grounds themselves were immaculate, and the facilities and restrooms were clean and well kept. Stayed here for 2 nights & enjoyed our experience. The grounds are right outside the west gate of Yellowstone and was in an easy place to get in and out of. Restrooms were clean, however the auto shut off on the lights was quite annoying, the lights automatically shut off after about 10 minutes (motion sensors). Really cute cabins, but no amenities, no fridge, microwave and no AC- miserable sleeping during a July heat-wave. Knowing this, they have not offered to keep us abreast of any sites that come available later in the day. The WiFi worked fairly well especially during the day when everyone is visiting Yellowstone. It is walking distance to the cute town of West Yellowstone which has lots to do, and only a few minutes to the west entrance to Yellowstone. We looked at the other parks in downtown West Yellowstone and they all had gravel "parking lots" with the spaces small and cramped. We had a large big rig site that was very long and wide, Charged a depost and then told no spots available - no refund in deposit, February 7th I made a reservation on the online system for a week stay at the Yellowstone grizzly RV park. A young male grizzly bear had gained access to food from unoccupied cabins near Rainbow Point Camp Ground just north of the town of West Yellowstone, Montana. The park was 2/3 full during our stay and was very quiet both during the day and night. IMHO Grizzly is the only place to stay if visiting Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. *level gravel site more. We were adjacent to a dog walk trail that led to a national forest area where the dogs could run off leash. I mentioned that I was told during the reservation process that I was assigned to site number one and was told that I could not see nor be told the location until I checked in. Great place that we were able to get into since they plowed snow off several add'l spots as the Spring warms up. Check in was easy with friendly people. Pull thru site was excellent, but the neighboring rigs are a tad close. Wound up with the same clerk and was treated just as rudely as at the beginning. We have a motor home so got a beautiful, spacious pull through on an end that the dogs enjoyed. Roads are paved and easy to navigate. This is a huge park. We would definitely stay again. An unfortunate set of circumstances arose at a local campsite with a wild bear that resulted in the bear needing to be removed from the wild. He was underweight when he arrived but overtime, he rapidly gained weight and muscle. They have a pet area, but it runs behind other peoples campers and leads to a wooded area which I was afraid to walk in with the dog by myself being in bear country. But the real issue is that the staff closed them much earlier - closer to 8:15am, despite the sign. Even better, our site backed up to the national forest where there were lots of trails for us to walk our dog. We had a premium back-in site so we had a grassy area behind us that backed up to woods which gave us a little bit of privacy. On July 6th, 2020 as an alternative to a lethal removal, we welcomed him to the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center as our newest resident bear. One of the car rental places in town told us they don't deliver cars there anymore because of the manager. They have grass at all the sights that are also big and level. If you are in the shower for 11 minutes, it get VERY dark in the room. Dog walking areas are huge. They went and charged me a Cancellation fee even though i told them why we needed to cancel I asked if I could send proof but even that this RV park is Full I mean Full all the time they would not lose any money but I understand i cancelled within the month so be it. They have a small store with limited RV supplies. In September 2021 The software system online did not work properly and gave an error saying that it didn't work. Although the sites aren't exactly spacious, they are not as close together as I feared, and our back-in site was more than wide enough for us to not feel claustrophobic.
