Huge spaces (we had a corner lot). They need designated cement. Our 36' motorhome and tow car just barely fit in the back-in site (some days we parked our car in the overflow parking lot). He is the latest to be introduced to the group of otters that live at Center. Prices have gone up but value has gone down. I can't speak for any of the other regular back-in sites, but sites #1, 2, 3, and 4 are righg next to the Grizzly dump stations! Well here comes 2020 I made reservation for September of 2020. WOW, what a luxurious place, great location great people, very helpful staff. He toppled a tent and even climbed on an occupied vehicle at the campground. The site was gravel and level, we had a concrete patio and the utilities were well placed. Our site backed up to an intersection and there was no issue at all with noise. Really cute cabins, but no amenities, no fridge, microwave and no AC- miserable sleeping during a July heat-wave. We had a large big rig site that was very long and wide, Charged a depost and then told no spots available - no refund in deposit, February 7th I made a reservation on the online system for a week stay at the Yellowstone grizzly RV park. A young male grizzly bear had gained access to food from unoccupied cabins near Rainbow Point Camp Ground just north of the town of West Yellowstone, Montana. The park was 2/3 full during our stay and was very quiet both during the day and night. IMHO Grizzly is the only place to stay if visiting Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. *level gravel site more. We were adjacent to a dog walk trail that led to a national forest area where the dogs could run off leash. I mentioned that I was told during the reservation process that I was assigned to site number one and was told that I could not see nor be told the location until I checked in. Great place that we were able to get into since they plowed snow off several add'l spots as the Spring warms up. Check in was easy with friendly people. Pull thru site was excellent, but the neighboring rigs are a tad close. Wound up with the same clerk and was treated just as rudely as at the beginning. An unfortunate set of circumstances arose at a local campsite with a wild bear that resulted in the bear needing to be removed from the wild. He was underweight when he arrived but overtime, he rapidly gained weight and muscle. They have a pet area, but it runs behind other peoples campers and leads to a wooded area which I was afraid to walk in with the dog by myself being in bear country. One of the car rental places in town told us they don't deliver cars there anymore because of the manager. They have grass at all the sights that are also big and level. If you are in the shower for 11 minutes, it get VERY dark in the room. Dog walking areas are huge. And, I had to walk through peoples sites to get to the actual pet area and back to my camper. The landscaping is beautiful, and they have a nice playground for the kids. The park kept everyone informed via emails throughout our stay, and that was a nice added feature. The park is within walking distance of downtown West Yellowstone. They went and charged me a Cancellation fee even though i told them why we needed to cancel I asked if I could send proof but even that this RV park is Full I mean Full all the time they would not lose any money but I understand i cancelled within the month so be it. The park kept everyone informed via emails throughout our stay, and that was a nice added feature. The park is within walking distance of downtown West Yellowstone. They went and charged me a Cancellation fee even though i told them why we needed to cancel I asked if I could send proof but even that this RV park is Full I mean Full all the time they would not lose any money but I understand i cancelled within the month so be it. Multiple attempts were made to haze him away from the area, unfortunately they were unsuccessful, and Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks staff decided he could not remain in the wild. Grounds were clean & nicely manicured. I took off 1 star of the facilities rating for 2 reason. more. It's not like they're changing linens and vacuuming the room and they certainly didn't clean up the space, so not sure why you have to leave the RV park for hours. I would stay there again and have recommended to others going to area. We had a pull through site and we had plenty of room on all sides. They offered to move us the next evening to a different site. Told check-in person that I had a reservation and was told in no certain terms that I could not check in until noon.
A few years ago, I had a camping trip planned to Sequoia National Forest in California for Labor RV Camping Guide to Californias Lesser-Known National Parks. This park set the standard on our recent trip. Paved roads and hard pack gravel spaces with elbow room. The grounds are manicured and impeccable. One thing to note: the WiFi signal isn't strong throughout the park and may only work on laptops, not phones. We stayed in this great, well maintained RV park in a 40 motorhome. As we were on the corner our site was certainly large enough to feel alone. We were in an older section with mature trees for nice shade. Lots of long (80') pull through parking pads w full hookup. Probably the nicest in appearance in town. That Said, I made reservations for July of 2018 and I had to cancel because my wifes mother past away and we just couldn't make it. They have a small store with limited RV supplies. In September 2021 The software system online did not work properly and gave an error saying that it didn't work. Although the sites aren't exactly spacious, they are not as close together as I feared, and our back-in site was more than wide enough for us to not feel claustrophobic. The only thing that I would love to see changed is for there to be an actual fenced in dog area for dogs to play in. Right downtown near everything but a separate oasis and gated exit. There is a large staging area, but if you are in one of the large pull-through sites and towing a vehicle, then you stay hooked and pull in. Secondly, and most importantly, the sewer connection is located near the front of each site. I will say that you get what you pay for here: Sites are well maintained, and have plenty of room Huge parking in front for checking in. Not sure why campers think that is ok. We think the park could put up signs or send out emails to inform their guest campers that walking through other camp sites is not acceptable.
