Several plants passed away and the reship had to be delayed because of our summers heat. All plants did exceptionally well thru spring/summer/fall. Sincerely,
I ordered dwarf Blue Chip butterfly bushes (at a premium) and last year I emailed them that all but 2 are now 6-7 feet tall!! I emailed back a week later to let them know the plants didn't die but didn't get any better. Emailed and called and was told that the missing items would be shipped in two weeks. So today, June 10th, they sent me another email saying that the other plants that I ordered aren't meeting their quality control standards so they were cancelling that part of my order. I wrote great garden plants several times but to no avail. I ended up planting them anyway. One Heuchera and one Salix looked like they may have suffered in transport. I have another kinds of roses that don't have black spot.
We are in Zone 5 (but located very close to Zone 6) and have had years of success growing what is called Cortaderia s. Pumila. I'm so sad and shocked. I have made lots of purchases on other sites simply by sorting by price and seeing what was really cheap that day and buying "extras" for my garden based on what was on sale. Please let us know asap - so we can resolve this issue. We highly recommend. I am planning another order from Great Garden Plants this spring. First time I have ever ordered from this company. Some that managed to stay in their containers were dry while others were moist (of same plant type). They were the size that was mentioned on their site. This place is a not on the up and up. The knock out rose a joke. Ordered 24 thuja green Emerald a few weeks early before shipping time (April in my zone) and purchased for the sale price at the timebefore they shipped the price was lowered and they wouldn't honor the new lower price (24Thuja Emerald again on this order) that cost me over $500. It is not maestro as I ordered, it is matrona. I was extremely impressed by the packaging. Please contact us at [emailprotected]
I have ordered from them for 2 years. One of my items was a "Limelight" hydrangea which I had also placed an on-line order with another GW Top 30 nursery. The plants were large and very healthy and were delivered when I wanted them to be. Overall positive experience for my first purchase from them. I WILL definitely be ordering from them again. Hello Stormcloud
Our plants have been getting fuller and fuller on top as they are breaking out of dormancy - you'll find well established roots systems - which is the key to your garden success. Mary said to give it a few days and to email or call if they don't perk up. I ordered the sedum maestro, but they sent me sedum matrona as I have both plants. My soil is sandy and well drained. I contacted customer service, sent photos and was told to wait and see if the plants adjusted. Fine. I'm worried my garden. Mary. I had ordered a Viburnum shrub which never did recover from the box trauma. It died after about 2 days. All I can say is that I am one happy customer. I ordered two bicolor Buddleias. This year my Dwarf Shasta daisies are 2-3 feet tall except for 2 that are actual dwarfs. I just placed my first order with this company & am very excited with their low prices [i ordered the new blushing knockouts] so waiting expectantly till this fall to see what i will receive :) My other choice would have been white flower farm. I don't expect to have to revive my plants or pick off slugs when I'm paying over $200 for "superior plants" from a nursery. They refunded 10% of my money. My success rate with roses from other companies has been 100% so pretty sure I'm not the problem.
Sincerely, This is absolutely unacceptable so I called back and was told the same thing again by a different agent. Overall very happy with the transaction and looking forward to my first blooms! Stick with Watchdog top-rated sellers. My order total was only $75.70 but it was my money and I want it back. I immediately contacted them, and they brushed me off. I was disappointed that the shrub was only 9 inches tall.
I ordered 5 one-gallon sized THUJAS in early summer and planted them in Southern California. This is my first experience with this company, and it has been a good one. Posted on May 10, 2013, updated July 2, 2013 Our records indicate you will be receiving a 100% refund on your order since you notified us within the 30 days. I would note that in my years of shopping online for material goods I have seen the best of the packages being busted- it simply comes down to who and how handles it during transit. However, after learning about the 10% restocking fee and figuring the cost of shipping charges, it was not worth it. The Nededa's are growing leaves and will be okay but the roses look awful. 3 of the Black eyed Susans arrived with crushed leaves.
Thanks to GGP, my faith in mail order plant purchasing has been restored. They did not ask me for a picture or anything. All of them has black spot. I am very impressed with the packaging of the plants. Order of in stock items arrived as promised. You are better off ordering special plants from your local nursery. Posted on July 11, 2013, updated July 29, 2013 Order has still not been shipped. Mary, Some of the negative reviews are actually discussing read more, I order these every year for my roses. I ordered a Meyer Lemon tree and was truly impressed.
We were pleased to have an opportunity to chat with you and clarify a few things along with resolving this issue to your complete satisfaction. I ordered 9 knock out rose bushes from them and some Nepeda Walker's Low. They arrived well packaged and in good shape. Have a great day! New leaves are beginning to grow and I can see buds that are ready to bloom!
Lets just ho[e they make it through this arctic winter.. can't wait for spring to see how they made out. Not worth the time or effort. I asked for another replacement as I was planning to plant one on each side of a window in front of my house. Please contact me directly at [emailprotected]. Shipping was reasonable and prompt. Second order was also very good. If I am in error on this information, please let me know. We regret to hear of your recent experience with your purchase. So many months of planning for these specific plants, and I'm getting no plants at all. I have been an avid gardener for at least 20 years and this is a first for me. Thankfully, I had printed my online order and when I checked it again, I saw that the receipt stated, I would be notified by fed-ex when the order shipped. I did receive a partial refund but with all the time invested it doesnt balance. When I went to plant them I noticed from old photos that they were less than 1/2 the size as my 2016 order. If 2 separate carts where started at separate times and one completed, it is very possible that there other is still remains in your cart, thus explaining why you might be receiving emails from us.
Some of the Heurcheras are a down right joke. Your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed. I placed an order, paid for it, but my items remained in the cart. In reviewing your file, the plants were sent in May and if that is too early for southern California, than I apologize. They were very well packaged, appeared to have survived shipping in reasonable health (just a tad yellow and droopy, but I'm sure they'll bounce back), and were pleasingly larger than I had expected. She offered me 20% discount to accept order and said it would be shipped right away. Till this day the two plants which were replaced have not died or grown. I explained the plants were very small and insubstantial - nothing like their vidoes. We got a hosta grab bag and a heucheras grab bag. I sent e-mail and pictures to them today. I was told to plant them and give it some time as the journey can be hard on them. I held on to hope because they were all perennials and I had their guarantee to fall back on. I finally called my credit card company to file a dispute. Our email address is [emailprotected]
I'd call it false advertisement.
My great granddaughter was so excited waiting for her plants: A knock out rose, Clematis paniculata and clematis rosemoor. I was only asking them to deliver what I paid for and the height of the tree they promised. It was a tiny plant in a 2 qt bucket and its going to take years for it to grow to a point where it well be noticed at all. Second, I can't believe the size of the shrubs I received. We truly regret to hear of the issue with the Knock Out and are happy to issue you a 100% refund. The ornamental grass was not available, so they sent the rest of the collection without it, indicating it was back-ordered. Will not use this company again. I did receive all but a Limelight Hydrangea on time. Mary. (order #93029 )On May 12 I received an email saying that they were having trouble with one of the type of plants I ordered, so they were substituting a different plant unless they heard from me.
