The village of Agios Nikitas is the go-to point to get to Milos Beach either via trekking over the mountainside or by taxi-boat from the seafront of Agios Nikitas. Ammouso Beach is located on the south-east side of the Lefkada Island, 37kms from the Lefkada Town. Has some good tavernas for lunch, although if there you can always pop around to Sivota Bay for lunch which is very pretty and has many great fish tavernas!!! It sits atop the steeply sloping coast surrounded by hills and olive groves, with incredible views of the blue sea on all sides. At the furthest end of the cobblestone path, mere minutes away from our little apartment, is the sandy Agios Nikitas beach, nestled into a little bay and held there by the cliffs on either side of it. We barely saw anyone else who was staying in the little block, although every now and again we caught a snatch of Russian or Italian on the wind from a few of the rooms above us.
