I just used regular Elmers Carpenters Wood Filler. This is a classy piece that would certainly dress up any space- but how about using this in your home. The detailing on this piece is truly amazing and is loaded! Finished with a charcoal chalk paint and original wood pieces are stained and covered with furniture lacquer. 
You have inspired me to try some new things on my AS painted pieces. Arhaus & Pottery Barn eat your heart out! . Now in case you are thinking- but my other pieces dont match. NO WORRIES!!! Ha! And lastly- to make this empress even more richer- a CoCo wash over it all.
I can coordinate a whole suite of pieces if desired!!!!! Im not sure that itll turn out, but Im doing it anyways! Painted in Anne Sloans Provence Chalk Paint and Barcelona Orange. Before I moved to my store at 208 East Main Street in Palmyra- I worked out of my finished barn.

The tiny fish wriggles There are several ways to transfer graphics to your projects. You dont want it gummy, but you do want it absorbed into the paint. .and it is finally finished being transformed. Yes, you can. XO, If you dont use enough wax it wont be able to get down into the paint well or evenly.

This piece has the lines of shabby chic and French Country Romance and is painted with a line of paint that originated in Europe- no wanna bes here- it is truly authentic! I wasnt excited about it at all but the second time I couldnt wait to finish it. I love this piece of furniture and the graphics you put on it! It is PERFECTION!! This fantastic French influenced piece has been detailed out with French typography on the front and slightly distressed around the edges revealing a bit of gilded gold beneath. Nancy, Im going to keep my eyes peeled. Ive done that a couple times but luckily these colors mix so well I was able to salvage by mixing in some other colors. Of course- this buffet would be gorgeous in any room- but I am trying to help you THINK OUT OF THE NORM when it comes to decorating your home!

With the golden pupils, but it seems like with such a bold color underneath, the red would have shown up on under the distressing..how did you keep that from happening?? ;). Find him at The Shops On West Ridge starting Thursday, August 9th. I then traced the lettering/graphic onto the piece from the projected imageand painted it in by hand. Lettering is not a stencil- it was all hand painted in a color called Graphite. Love that. Dimensions of the piece are 34 tall x 31 wide x 18 deep. Yes, that was such a fun surprise! I just stripped the top of my sideboard (I think it was built in the 30s, but needed major help) and have been trying to decide if I should paint it with Emperors Silk or Old Ochre/dark stain on top. ;). Fun & Funky is one way to describe it. Really like the way this turned out! They seem to work best without leaving marks I dont want after. I think that was my problem with the first paint job on this one. That should take care of the too much problem. Hand painted in Louis Blue, Graphite & Coco Chalk Paint Decorative Paint by Annie Sloan and embellished a bit with some pale metallic goldclear & dark wax. If any is left bubbling Id remove that too and just fill in and sand. Yes, I always wait for a piece to speak to me also. I then have another clean cloth that I go back over and lightly wipe away any excess right after. Come on in and have me add the name of your princess across the back. I to have been known to re-paint until the piece is right! I couldnt love this more! Great advice about applying the wax! I was going to use this little sideboard cabinet as a bar cabinet so chose Luckily, even if youre working on a tight budget, theres still plenty of ways you can create a warm and inviting home that makes you We love Furniture with character. I have also downloaded some graphics and borrowed a overhead projector (that no one uses anymore) to transform my IKEA coffee table in the same manner! It went through 2 makeovers but 3rd times the charm! I have been trying to get the courage to repaint it this would be a perfect look for his as well. Thats absolutely STUNNING! The vintage distressed gold hardware is like the cherry on top! Nancy.

I borrowed my sisters projector to do this same thing to my fathers dresser but I chickened out because I thought it would be way too hard! I used a good amount of dark waxon the top. It was really a little too large for this space so this worked out well. Half and half-ish? When I say French Country- I am sincere in that the Annie Sloan Paint was originally created in Europe inspired by pieces you would see in traditional chateaus. I love this! Nancy, this is outstanding! Unfolding its silky wings, I just went around and removed all loose pieces and filled them with putty and sanded it smooth. I dont have a steady hand and am afraid if I tried this it would be a crazy mess! Wonderful small piece that can go just about anywhere!

Find him at The Shops On West Ridge starting Thursday, August 9th. I then traced the lettering/graphic onto the piece from the projected imageand painted it in by hand. Lettering is not a stencil- it was all hand painted in a color called Graphite. Love that. Dimensions of the piece are 34 tall x 31 wide x 18 deep. Yes, that was such a fun surprise! I just stripped the top of my sideboard (I think it was built in the 30s, but needed major help) and have been trying to decide if I should paint it with Emperors Silk or Old Ochre/dark stain on top. ;). Fun & Funky is one way to describe it. Really like the way this turned out! They seem to work best without leaving marks I dont want after. I think that was my problem with the first paint job on this one. That should take care of the too much problem. Hand painted in Louis Blue, Graphite & Coco Chalk Paint Decorative Paint by Annie Sloan and embellished a bit with some pale metallic goldclear & dark wax. If any is left bubbling Id remove that too and just fill in and sand. Yes, I always wait for a piece to speak to me also. I then have another clean cloth that I go back over and lightly wipe away any excess right after. Come on in and have me add the name of your princess across the back. I to have been known to re-paint until the piece is right! I couldnt love this more! Great advice about applying the wax! I was going to use this little sideboard cabinet as a bar cabinet so chose Luckily, even if youre working on a tight budget, theres still plenty of ways you can create a warm and inviting home that makes you We love Furniture with character. I have also downloaded some graphics and borrowed a overhead projector (that no one uses anymore) to transform my IKEA coffee table in the same manner! It went through 2 makeovers but 3rd times the charm! I have been trying to get the courage to repaint it this would be a perfect look for his as well. Thats absolutely STUNNING! The vintage distressed gold hardware is like the cherry on top! Nancy.

I borrowed my sisters projector to do this same thing to my fathers dresser but I chickened out because I thought it would be way too hard! I used a good amount of dark waxon the top. It was really a little too large for this space so this worked out well. Half and half-ish? When I say French Country- I am sincere in that the Annie Sloan Paint was originally created in Europe inspired by pieces you would see in traditional chateaus. I love this! Nancy, this is outstanding! Unfolding its silky wings, I just went around and removed all loose pieces and filled them with putty and sanded it smooth. I dont have a steady hand and am afraid if I tried this it would be a crazy mess! Wonderful small piece that can go just about anywhere!
