While at The Pointe, youll want to check out the areas premier practice facility, boasting the Outer Banks best public driving range and short game practice area, which includes two chipping greens, practice bunker, and practice putting green. The course layout is amazing and the greens and fairways were perfectly groomed. French gardens and fountains lead up to a dramatic entrance. Five sets of tees allow you to match your game to the challenge to ensure that all skill levels can have an enjoyable time. Fairways had many dead patches of grass or straight mud. They also cut their rates because of it. We offer social and athletic events throughout the year and have a vibrant and involved membership. Great course, love the layout, conditions are a little rough, even for this time of year. All of this, compounded by the always present ocean breezes, will have you reaching for every club in your bag! The Carolina Club has a mopey Staff - the starter is Very Unfriendly and the greens have hundreds and hundreds of unfixed ball marks ( A 10 foot putt demands multiple ballmark fixes ) - For the money this track charges the tees have high uncut uneven grass - The ball does not sit-up at all in the fairways -- Seems to me it's just all about the money and not the upkeep --another legacy back-in-the-day course losing its character and quality. The bridal suite is beautiful and the golf course provides a great backdrop for outside photos. Greens gorgeous! Greens were aerated a bit ago and they told me that before I made my tee time which I appreciated greatly.
